We Care About The Environment

Since purchasing the land in 1984, we have been mindful of our farming practices and water usage. Rooted in Sustainability

Vineyards

Sustainability and the Ponte farming mentality go hand in hand: Thriftiness, efficiency and respect for the land make up the foundation of our viticulture practices. Using compost to return beneficial organic material to the soil, installing hawk and owl nesting boxes to promote natural pest control and practicing responsible watering, plowing and harvest methods are just a few measures we take to ensure we remain great stewards of the land.

Winemaking

We take into consideration the environmental impact of our entire winemaking process. Reducing waste production, limiting our water and electricity use, and seeking out recycled packaging materials has helped reduce our environmental footprint.

Restaurant

The Restaurant at Ponte is committed to sustainable and environmentally friendly practices. By growing and locally sourcing our produce, supporting Southern Californian ranchers by serving all-natural, hormone-free meat and game, and seeking out wild-caught or sustainably-farmed seafood, we continue to provide a responsible, “Farm to Table” dining experience.

Tasting Room

We continue to reduce our environmental impact in the Tasting Room through the use of natural light, recycling glass and cardboard, and incentivizing our guests to go green with us through our “Wine Bottle Recycling Program”.

We Care About Children
in Our Local Community

Since opening our doors in 2003, we have remained deeply committed to supporting organizations that serve children in need within our local community. Giving back is not a side effort for us, it’s part of who we are.

We strive to make a meaningful and lasting impact close to home. For more than a decade, our charitable giving has been thoughtfully focused on the organizations listed here. Institutions who are doing truly life-changing work for local children and families.

We invite you to join us in supporting this important mission and helping us continue to care for those who need it most in our community.

While we are honored by the many requests we receive, our charitable efforts are intentionally reserved for local organizations supporting children in need, and we are unable to approve requests outside this focus. Please note, that if your charity request does not align with our giving statement, you will not receive a response.
